The front of the coin was designed in color, for the bronze coin, to give Saddam a "puppet" look or some one who is having his strings pulled. It is a traditional military "Challenge Coin."
It honors the 4th Infantry Division, for successfully capturing this international threat.
The date of his capture is minted on the bottom of the coin.
The military campaign, Operation Iraqi Freedom is also minted for future generations and for historical purposes.
The background shows the new Iraqi flag and the crest for the 4th Infantry Division.
The phrase "WE GOT HIM" will forever be associated with Saddam Hussein on December 13, 2003.
This coin is filed with the Library of Congress for copyright and may not be duplicated. Per copyright law, any coin minted that is similar by at least 30% would be in violation of copyright law.
